Chapter Elections

Nominations are currently being taken for next year's Chapter Board positions. elections will be held at our
September 26 ^th meeting,
and nominations will be taken at our August Chapter Meeting and September Board Meeting.

If you are interested in being on the Chapter Board, please see one of the Chapter Officers or Advisors and ask them about the position descriptions.

Positions include:

• Executive Vice Chief (EVC)
• Vice Chief of Activities
• Vice Chief of Service
• Vice chief of Indian Affairs
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Vice Chief of Camp Promotions

Just For Laughs!

There are 2 penguins, penguin #1 and penguin #2. They are walking down the street when penguin #2 trips over a fire hydrant. Penguin #1 rushes over and asks him if he is OK. Penguin #2 responds and says, "No, I spilled my mustard."

Fellow Arrowmen,

Board Members, would you please send in articles for the newsletter. I don't think it's too hard to write up a little less-than-half-a-page summary on what happened that month in your department. I need those articles to put in the newsletter. I shouldn't have to write complaint articles in the newsletter. I should just have to collect the articles and write a decent newsletter with them. so, please turn in articles so I can write a nice newsletter. It benefits the Chapter when the newsletter goes out with actual articles in it.

Pow Wow

Pow-Wow, the Lodge's Chapter versus Chapter competition is nearly here. From September 13 ^th to the 15 ^th , a furious battle will rage in Lost Valley . All of the Chapters will meet and compete in such events as volleyball, water polo, tug-of-war, sand painting, Indian dancing, Ceremonies competition, adult ice tea chug-a-lug and more. Of course, the grand prize of the event being Yogi .

In order to win, Crow needs as many members as possible in attendance. The cost of Pow-Wow is $20, which can be paid at the next Chapter meeting. Pow-Wow is definitely the greatest event the Lodge holds over the year, and if you have never been to one, you are missing out on the fun.

Crow needs you all there, screaming, yelling, pulling, swimming, dancing and chanting. By doing your part, we can prove to the Lodge what every Crow knows: That we are simply the best Chapter in the Lodge. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

If you are planning on attending, please call Ron P. , Chapter Treasurer and let him know as soon as possible. We need an accurate count.

Miscellaneous

Chapter meetings are on the fourth Thursday of the month. The next meeting will be on the 23 ^rd , at 7:30pm.

Anyone who gets the Hangman and the Guess the Person game and attends the Chapter meeting will receive a prize of some sort.

Elections are in September. Nominations are being taken now.
