Chapter Advisor's CornerHappy New Year! As we begin 2004, I am excited to assume my new role as Crow Chapter Advisor. I look forward to working with the new Chief and you to making this the best year yet in Crow Chapter history. The Chief and I have had a number of discussions about the plans and activities for the upcoming year. We are planning many exciting activities and service projects for this year. I would like to propose that we make the Crow Chapter Theme for 2004 be "Total Crow Involvement". By "Total Crow Involvement" I mean that we involve every chapter member on a committee or team. We will be forming a number of new teams and committees this year, so there will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to be involved. Also, that we strive to obtain 100% attendance at all Crow and Lodge functions and activities. In the budgeting process the board allocated funds to repair the Chapter Indian regalia. I would like to propose that in addition to rebuilding our regalia, that we put special emphasis on rekindling our Indian roots this year. This year is a NOAC year, and there is still time for chapter members to sign up for this exciting event. Wiatava Lodge is hoping to have the largest contingent at a NOAC conference ever. NOAC is an excellent opportunity for you to join you fellow Arrowmen for a fun filled week of learning, games, and fellowship. The Chapter Officers have all made their goals for 2004, and they will need your help if we are to successfully meet the Chapter Goals. I look forward to meeting and working with each and every one of you during the course of the year. Together we can make this Crow Chapter's best year. So let's start by grabbing one to two fellow Arrowman from your Troop, and bring them to the January 22, 2004 Chapter Meeting at Emanuel Lutheran Church at 7:30 PM.

Vice Chief of Indian AffairsTo My Fellow Arrowmen,Well the new board is in place and is functioning magnificently. There have not been any crises to test our mettle, but I am sure we will rise to the occasion when provoked. As in past years, Indian Affairs are looking forward to providing service and camaraderie amongst our teams. First on the agenda is recruiting our yearly dance team. Blue and Gold banquets are coming up next month. Food is usually provided and the chapter has great regalia to wear. The chapter will also be replacing and repairing the older, but still excellent, pieces. We will also be starting ceremony practices in March. The chapter has emerged the victor in lodge competitions four, count 'em, Four years in a row; and I am not one to end that streak so soon. If you're interested in partaking in either dance or ceremonies, please contact me. And if you do not contact me, I will contact you and you Will participate, and you Will have fun. So you might as well get it over with.

WebmasterGreetings everyone,In my never-ending attempt to get you guys to use the website, I've added a new feature. We now have MESSAGE FORUM up and running, just waiting for you guys to get in there and leave a note. I will handle as many threads as you want to start and you even have the option of being e-mailed when you receive a response. It just doesn't get better than this!! There is also a new article on "Beading Techniques" sent in by Albertus. Come check it out. Remember, if you have anything of interest that you wish to see on the website, send it to me at Crow@OCBSA.org. In the meantime, the Forum is easy to use and there is a great "Help" file. You can access everything from crow.ocbsa.org and there is also a link to the forum from the member's area. Also, while you are there leave me a note on whether you guys would use an Open Calendar that you could add stuff to.

SecretaryHey Guys,It's official. Now you must sit through these annoyingly long articles for the rest of your pathetic little excuse of life (or at least the rest of my term). Anyway, Mr. Wolf gave his article to me on a disk last Thursday and I would appreciate it if you other board members would do the same, it saves me time and patience. Thanks.
